Itinerary

Day 1: Cottonwood

Depart from the St. Louis Airport for your flight to Phoenix to be transferred to Cottonwood, Arizona for 6 nights.

Day 2: Sedona

Today is filled with activities that will ìignite, excite and delightî you! Travel to Sedona to have lunch on your own in Sedonaís unique establishments. Time is available to do the optional Trolley Tour to the Chapel of the Holy Cross for beautiful scenery and red rock formations. Board your Pink Jeep for a tour in Coyote Canyons for a “howling good time” with awe-inspiring scenes. Visit the historic Tlaquepaque Village where you will have dinner on your own in one of their delightful restaurants.

Day 3: Jerome

After breakfast travel to enchanting Jerome, the historic “Town on the Mountain,” where you visit the imposing Douglas Mansion, built in 1916 by a family of influential mining entrepreneurs. The Mansion contains a museum dedicated to the history of the area. See how Jerome has become a magnet for artists and tourists. Drive a short distance to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, where we take a safari ride through the park in an open vehicle, You may even feed Kibo! Experience the animals of Africa without flying there! Freshen up at your hotel in Cottonwood before departing for dinner at Cork & Catch, a family owned and operated restaurant that is a Cottonwood classic.

Day 4: Cottonwood

Learn about the enchanting Tuzigoot National Monument this morning. Visit Historic Old Town Cottonwood with its unique shops and stories before departing for the depot, where we board the Verde Canyon Railroad Coach. Enjoy your lunch on the train before we travel through territory available only by rail or horseback. You will have time to freshen up before heading to the Blazin’ M Ranch for an evening of fun and good food. Do some shopping, check out the shooting gallery, western museum and saloon, and enjoy some wine tasting before your chuck wagon dinner. Relax at the Cowboy Western Stage Show with Otis and Ghost Rider before retiring to your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Montezuma Castle

After breakfast, depart from our hotel for Montezuma Castle National Monument. Our delectable Southwestern cuisine lunch is in the incredible Turquoise Room at the historic and beautiful LaPosada Hotel in Winslow. Tour the restored historic LaPosada with a “Harvey Girls” guide. See the mural made famous in “Take it Easy”, We return to our hotel and our included dinner.

Day 6: Grand Canyon

We depart the hotel this morning for a drive to Grand Canyon, where we spend the day and have a chance to explore this spectacular wonder of nature. On our way back to the hotel we stop in Flagstaff, where you will have dinner on your own.

Day 7: Return Home

Following breakfast, we drive to Phoenix and say goodbye to Arizona for our flight home.
