Itinerary

Day 1

Our flight takes us to the west coast, arriving in San Francisco in the late afternoon. We have time to enjoy Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 2

This morning a local guide will take us on a narrated city tour of San Francisco. Then we travel to California’s Beautiful Napa Valley area, where we include time at Oxbow Public Market and V. Sattui Winery, the oldest and most prestigious winery in the valley.

Day 3

Today we travel up the rugged, beautiful Pacific Coast, where we have lunch in the Redding area before our afternoon drive through the giant redwoods. Enter the Avenue of the Giants, where we are surrounded by giant redwoods. We follow Route 101 up the scenic Pacific Coast through the Redwood National Forest to Crescent City, where we check into our hotel, across from the marina.

Day 4

Experience some spectacular coastline as we enter Oregon. Today we’ll stop in Gold Beach, Oregon, to take a hydro-jet mail-boat trip up the Rogue River to Lower Rogue Canyon and the estuary. We continue up the coast to Bandon-by-the-Sea for lunch and shopping. Join us for a scenic sanddune thriller aboard one of the king-size Big Blue buggies. Included Meal: Breakfast

Day 5

We’re off to Portland, where you’ll explore the Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway to Crown Point Vista House, the 620-foot Multnomah Falls and Cascade Locks. We’ll escape to a journey back in time onboard the delightful sternwheeler, Columbia Gorge to enjoy dinner and experience the mighty Columbia River and its towering cliffs. Included Meal: Dinner

Day 6

The day begins with a visit to the International Rose Test Garden in Portland. We continue north to Mount St. Helens, our last active volcano. Seattle is our destination and home for the next two nights. The evening is yours to enjoy. Included Meal: Breakfast

Day 7

Our local guide will show us wonderful sites of Seattle including the Historical areas, International downtown, Puget Sound, Locks and fish ladder, ending at Pike Place Market for lunch on your own and shopping. Freshen up for this evening’s activities and your scenic cruise to Tillicum Village. You may see seals, sea lions, porpoises and whales as you journey across Puget Sound to the world famous salmon bake and show featuring the Northwest Coast Native Americans.

Day 8

Today we travel to Leavenworth, a quaint Bavarian village nestled in the magnificent Cascade Mountains. You’ll have time to visit the unique shops and restaurants and will delight in our luxurious hotel for the night. Our evening will include an unforgettable presentation at the outdoor summer theatre.

Day 9

We continue our travels to the airport in Seattle, returning home with fond memories of spectacular scenery and hearts filled with laughter.
