Itinerary

Days 1 and 2
We head into Ohio for the night. On Day 2 we travel to Niagara Falls, New York. Upon arrival we board our trolley for a narrated scenic tour of America’s Niagara State Park. Optional sightseeing might include Maid of the Mist boat ride, Observation Tower, Aquarium of Niagara, Cave of the Winds or the Discovery Center. From ice cream to sirloin steak, Niagara Falls State Park serves up something to tempt every palate. Enjoy a variety of treats at the Prospect Point Café or grab a snack at one of many concession stands throughout the park. Visit many sights at your leisure before the spectacular illumination of the Falls tonight.

Days 3 and 4
After breakfast take one more glimpse of the Falls as Legends of Adventure comes alive on a 45-foot screen, giving us a unique perspective of the world’s most famous waterfalls. Then head east into Rutland, Vermont. On Day 4, we’ll step back in time at the Shelburne Museum, a reconstructed colonial New England community. Later on, we pass through Vermont into New Hampshire, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase local handicrafts. Then, it’s off to the spectacular White Mountains. We overnight in Tilton, New Hampshire.

Day 5
A brief drive brings us to Weirs Beach, where we board the Mount Washington for a 2-hour luncheon cruise on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Our next stop is the famous resort town of Kennebunkport. Visit Dock Square with restored houses, boutiques, shops, eateries and galleries. We will overnight in Ogunquit, ME.

Day 6
A local guide provides a special look at historic Boston. We’ll see the Boston Common, the Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Old North Church, and “Old Ironsides,” the USS Constitution.

Day 7
We follow the Atlantic Coast down to Plymouth Rock and tour the Plymouth Grist Mill. On to Cape Cod, where our local guide will introduce us to a land of sunny beaches, marshlands, dunes, craggy coasts and quaint fishing villages. While on the East Coast, a good lobster dinner is a must. So, that’s just what we’re going to have. You’re in for a treat tonight!

Day 8
Today, we visit Newport, Rhode Island and tour Cornelius Vanderbilt’s summer cottage, The Breakers. The 70-room mansion is considered to be the most elaborate of all the Newport homes. We head inland this afternoon into the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Our home for the night is in Wilkes-Barre.

Days 9 and 10
It’s a scenic mountain drive through northern Pennsylvania Dutch country. On Day 10, we sit back, relax and enjoy the trip home.
