Kathy Schimpf

Kathy spent her professional life in education and social services. She taught school and worked for an adoption agency, health facility; owned and operated day care centers and was the Executive Director of the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center. Kathy became a Certified Forensic Interviewer, having interviewed sexually and physically abused children. She testified in court and in the Senate and House of Representatives for the state of Illinois. Kathy helped build the reputation of the Center into the thriving entity.

Favorite destination:
Anywhere with great beaches, a wealth of history, fascinating people and breathtaking scenery/adventures.

Most memorable travel moment:
Going to beautiful Costa Rica where I met passionately friendly people, enjoyed their beautiful scenery, and experienced the exhilarating “zip line” that had twelve towers (many 250 feet high) and at times went over water and dense forests.
