Returning, after twenty-five years to live in my hometown, is a pleasant experience.  After our children left home, my husband and I moved to Texas for the lovely weather. My husband passed away fourteen years ago and this began my years of traveling. My career as a clinical nursed manager gave me opportunities to live in different areas of our nation and working with different cultures and ethnicities.  At this time, I am excited to explore this new career path with continued growth and life-long learning.

Hometown:
Robinson, Illinois

Favorite destination:
Driving up the east coast of the US and into Canada with three friends was a great experience with Halifax, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island being the high points of our trip. This would not be complete without including Yosemite National Park in California, as well as San Diego, San Francisco and Santa Rosa California.

Most memorable travel moment:
Traveling alone and arriving in Almaty, Kazakhstan at 1:30 AM, struggling to take my luggage up a stairway in the airport and seeing two guards at the top with large guns. I soon learned these gentlemen were friendly and helpful to direct me to the waiting area for visitors. Much of my travel in this nation was memorable and unique, but absolutely enchanting.
