Itinerary

Days 1 and 2
We depart on our French Canadian Holiday tour through the state of Illinois and to Fort Wayne, IN to overnight. Day 2 – Our journey continues into Canada to Toronto. Rising to the top of the 1,815 foot tall CN Tower, see the breathtaking view of the Toronto area, and, on a clear day, all the way to Niagara Falls.

Day 3
When we arrive in Ottawa, we will be met by a local guide. Our tour includes seeing the Parliament Buildings, the residences and estates of diplomats, 24 Sussex, Rideau Hall, Confederation Boulevard, Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, Canadian Museum of Civilization, National Gallery of Canada and Rideau Falls.

Day 4
We continue to Quebec City, the Capital of the province of Quebec. After our mid-afternoon arrival at our downtown hotel, there’s time to stroll, shop or dine in any of the appealing restaurants.

Day 5
Our local guide will show us the charm of Old Quebec City, the impressing Changing of the Guard ceremony highlights our tour of The Citadel. This afternoon our tour continues up the Beaupre Coast to Montmorency Falls Park. On the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, we visit Sainte Anne de Beaupre, a shrine that annually attracts more than a million visitors. Later this afternoon, we make our way back to our hotel. Dinner and evening on your own.

Day 6
Today we travel to the city of Montreal. Montreal is located at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers. Upon arrival, we discover the city’s cultural heritage and cosmopolitan blend of old and new with a local guide. We’ll visit Vieux Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica before checking in at our hotel.

Day 7
Today we follow the St. Lawrence Seaway to Alexandria Bay, NY and the Thousand Islands, one of the most beautiful waterways in North America. We board a sightseeing boat and take a guided cruise through what the Indians called “Beautiful Garden of the Great Spirit.” Our boat tour includes a stop at Boldt Castle. We continue to our overnight in Watertown, NY.

Day 8
Our destination today is western New York State. We stop in Fairport for a tour of Casa Larga Vineyards. We finish our tour in the tasting room and sample 5 pre-selected wines that are matched to the season. During our lunch cruise on the Colonial Belle, we’ll cruise the tranquil waters of the historic Erie Canal. Upon arrival in Rochester, we tour the George Eastman House, the founder of Eastman Kodak Company. Following our tour, we depart for our overnight in Buffalo, NY.

Days 9 and 10
Our journey continues through the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio to the city of Dayton and our overnight. Day 10 – We return home with fond memories of the very best of Canada.
