Itinerary

Day 1

We fly into Kalispell where we are nestled in Flathead Valley in the Salish Mountains of northern Montana for the night.

Day 2

Today we enjoy a guided tour of Glacier National Park. We travel the winding Going-to-the-Sun Road across the Continental Divide through Logan Pass at an altitude of 6,646 feet. The best way to travel is via the Red Buses whose drivers are known as “Jammers.” The antique red buses are both a symbol of the park and a reminder of a time when adventurous travel was done with style. The peak is a natural fairyland with snow-frosted peaks and sparkling ice caps. Next, we travel into Alberta, Canada, to view the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park before arriving at our hotel for our overnight and dinner. Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3

Today we travel through Alberta, where we see more beautiful scenery. Before checking into our hotel in Banff, where we stay for 2 nights, we enjoy a stop at Sulphur Mountain for an exhilarating gondola ride to the 7,500-foot summit for a spectacular view of the Bow Valley below. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Banff and its many shops that are within walking distance of our hotel.

Included Meal: Breakfast

Day 4

We travel the Banff-Jasper Highway, known as the Icefields Parkway. We pause at the gorgeous Chateau Lake Louise, located on the shore of the lake where majestic mountains soaring skyward are reflected in the vibrant blues of the glacier-fed lake. Perhaps the most awe-inspiring sight of the day is the great Columbia Icefield, 150 square miles of ice. We take a snowcoach ride to view the tongue of the Athabasca Glacier with ice 1,000 feet thick!  We return to Banff to enjoy the downtown area for the evening. Included Meal: Breakfast

Day 5

After breakfast at the hotel we travel through Calgary one of North America’s most rugged and beautiful cities on our way to Glacier National Park, which contains over a million acres of the finest mountain scenery and most breathtaking ranges carved by prehistoric ice rivers in America.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6

Enjoy the majestic beauty at Many Glacier before traveling to the Museum of the Plains Indian featuring a variety of arts created by the tribal people of the region. Then on to Columbia Falls which is surrounded by Flathead National Forest and known as the gateway to Glacier National Park. Before returning to Kalispell for the night we will visit the Kootenai National Forest which provided the 2017 Christmas tree for the West lawn at the US Capitol. Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Following breakfast, we bid farewell to the beauty of the Canadian Rockies as we depart for the airport in Kalispell. Included Meal: Breakfast
